Resumen

El tiempo que tarda una edificación en recuperar su funcionalidad cuanto ésta ha sido afectada por un evento sísmico es un aspecto que hoy en día no ha sido considerado por los despachos de ingeniería estructural. Recientes eventos catastróficos naturales han puesto en evidencia que la pérdida de funcionalidad de las edificaciones, además de afectar a la sociedad en general, también trae consigo cuantiosas pérdidas financieras que se estima recuperar incluso décadas después de haber ocurrido el evento catastrófico. En este trabajo de investigación se presenta una metodología probabilista para cuantificar el tiempo de recuperación de instalaciones que son propensas a experimentar sismos de magnitud considerable durante su vida útil. Para ejemplificar la metodología se presenta la evaluación de un edificio de concreto reforzado en el que se consideran muros de relleno de mampostería no reforzada, localizado en la CDMX.
